The Lost Gardens of Heligan
25 years ago, Heligan’s historic gardens were unknown and unseen; lost under a tangle of weeds. It was only the chance discovery of a door in the ruins that led its restoration.
Today, the Lost Gardens are in pride of place, among the finest gardens in Cornwall.
...popular botanical gardens
St Michael's Mount
Striding the causeway, or crossing by boat. Treading medieval pathways or exploring sub-tropical gardens. Climbing to the castle or uncovering stories of the harbour legend.
Admire the views, through time and tide the Mount creates moments to remember.
...a must visit by foot or by boat
The Eden Project
Nestled in a huge crater, massive Biomes house the largest rainforest in captivity, with stunning plants, exhibitions & stories serve as a backdrop to the striking contemporary gardens.
As well as summer concerts, there are exciting year-round family events.
...with its massive Biomes
St Ives Bay is just a short walk from us, with its miles of golden sandy beaches, easily accessible over the sand dunes with no motor car in sight. A vast, sometimes wild, sometimes tranquil but always breath-taking Cornish golden beach which covers several miles.
In the summer months this beach is patrolled by the Lifeguard service, with surfing, wind surfing, kayaking and paragliding being the main water sport activities.
Alternatively, do what the locals do and just take in the fantastic views.
Situated to the West of Cornwall, on the south shores of St Ives Bay, we are ideally located to visit all of the west Cornwall landmarks within half a day. This includes: Land's End, The Minack Theatre, Cape Cornwall, St Michael's Mount, the Lizard Peninsula and Kynance Cove.
Further afield and still an easy visit in a day are the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Tintagel Castle, Lanhydrock House & its Gardens, and of course the Eden Project with its great artificial biodomes.
